Marj Walton has been the Executive Director for Swim Sask since September 1998. She was a former coach with the Dartmouth Crusaders Swim Club in Dartmouth Nova Scotia from September 1996 to August 1998, and was an age group competitive swimmer with the Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Club. She is a certified scuba diver, a very proud supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and an overall sports enthusiast.
Marj has spent a great deal of time volunteering. She is an ongoing volunteer with the Regina Queen City Marathon as the Finish Line Coordinator, volunteered for the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships as the Regina Accreditation Director, for the Team Saskatchewan 2003 Canada Games Team as Mission Staff for Wheelchair Basketball and Archery, and as Team Manager for the Sask Swim Team in the 2005 Canada Games.
She has also volunteered for Team Saskatchewan in the 2007 Canada Games Team as Mission Staff for Long Track Speed Skating, as Team Manager for the Canadian National Para Swim Team at the 2010 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships, as Team Manager for the Canadian National Para Swim Team at the inaugural 2011 Pan Pacific Swimming World Championships, as Team Manager for the Canadian National Para Swim Team at the 2011 Para Pan Am Games, as Team Manager for the Canadian Para Swim Team at the 2012 Paralympic Games Swim and as Team Manager for the 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships.
