Sask Sport Inc. September Athlete of the Month Award Nominations
The following athletes have been nominated for the Sask Sport Inc. September Athlete of the Month Award. The nominees are:
- Pete Andrews, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association. At the 2009 IWSF Disabled World Water Ski Championships held in Vichy, France, Andrews won Canada's first ever gold medal in the men's jump event. He also increased his slalom speed to 43-46 km. There were 18 countries and over 60 competitors at this event.
- Wyatt Baiton, Lumsden, Saskatchewan Athletics. Competing for the University of Regina Cougars, Baiton placed first of a field of 30 in the 8 km Senior Men's Cross Country Event at the Cougar Trot held in Regina.
- William Brooke, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Fencing Association. Competing at the CSC #1 (a national team circuit event) Brooke won all of his bouts and captured the Cadet Men's Epee title. He is ranked 1st on their High Performance list for Cadet Men's Epee.
